2024 Right to Read Scholarship

The 2024 Right to Read Scholarship is designed to inspire students to reflect on the issue of book banning, which has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. In an essay of 750-1000 words, what books have you encountered that have been challenged or banned, and how has this affected your access to knowledge and diverse perspectives? Additionally, we encourage you to propose potential solutions to this problem. How can we ensure that everyone has the right to read and learn, regardless of the content of the literature they choose to engage with? The scholarship award is $1000, and the deadline for submission is December 31, 2024. We look forward to reading your thoughtful and insightful essay!
