A reverse proffer session is also a meeting between you, your attorney, the prosecutor in your case, and law enforcement agents investigating you. The key difference between a proffer session and a reverse proffer session is that you do not speak or otherwise provide information at the meeting. The goal of a reverse proffer session is for the government to provide information about its investigation to you; to lay out portions of its case. The government does this in order to attempt to persuade you to admit guilt and enter a guilty plea and/or to become a cooperating witness.
