Steve Duckett has been practicing criminal defense law in the Commonwealth of Virginia for over 15 years. A Northern Virginia native, defense attorney Steve Duckett has spent his whole life in the area, aside from a few years spent at college and law school. He has handled cases in the Virginia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court, as well as Circuit and General District Courts throughout the Commonwealth. This familiarity with the region and extensive background defending criminal matters in Virginia had led to a keen insight into the process of criminal cases in the region.

Legal Education and Training
Mr. Duckett received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Richmond and earned his Juris Doctor at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. He has devoted his career to defending the accused in Northern Virginia exclusively and is admitted to practice at all of the courts in the Commonwealth.
Philanthropic and Charitable Work
Outside of work, Mr. Duckett is an avid volunteer. He coaches youth soccer and basketball as well as volunteering his time with an environmental conservation organization.
